WHEN I PRAY TO THE FATHER
ABOUT THINGS THAT AREN'T RIGHT
I MAKE SURE THAT I GO TO HIM
WITH A HEART THAT IS...CONTRITE

FOR IF I AM NOT REMORSEFUL
WITH A HEART AS HARD AS STEEL
I DON'T BELIEVE HE'LL ANSWER
FOR THAT'S NOT IN HIS WILL

HE WANTS ME TO BE SORRY
AND HUMBLE...WHEN I PRAY
ASKING HIM FOR FORGIVENESS
THEN HE'LL HEAR WHAT I SAY

HE WANTS ME TO BE REGRETFUL
FOR THE THINGS THAT I HAVE DONE
THEN I CAN ASK HIM FOR ANYTHING
WHEN I ASK IN THE ...NAME OF HIS SON!
